Vertikal Days is a new show (2007 was the first year), specialising in the access business. Held at Haydock Park Racecourse, it is the brainchild of Leigh Sparrow, owner of Vertikal Press and Publisher of Cranes and Access magazine.

2008 was the first year for Merlo UK showing at Vertikal Days and Bill Bennell, National Construction Sales Manager, reports a lot of interest in the new MPR PLATFORM as well as strong enquiries for the Roto series

VERTIKAL DAYS 5-26th June 2008

Vertikal Days attracts a highly specialised visitor, there is no casual public access. So, we can be sure that comments and enquiries come only from interested, knowledgeable folk!

Most enquiries were about the new MPR. It’s radical new design is intriguing and most visitors soon saw a possible niche for this machine. Mixing the 40 km/h transit speed with the off-highway ability of a handler AND the flexibility of a telescopic platform was definitely appealing. The 30m version has in excess of 9m ‘lift-over’ height on the boom as well as over 16m of outreach, and this was seen as particularly significant.

There were also a number of enquiries about the Roto ranges. 2008 is very much the year of the Roto and rental companies are now seeing the benefits of these multipurpose machines. !
