The ‘original’ ROTO design features an upperstructure with a 415 degree slew system, mounted upon a tractive four wheel drive base equipped with four folding stabilisers.

For the 2007 models, the cab has been updated to the latest Merlo design. Changes to the stabiliser footprint, along with new boom mechanism fitted (shared with the Panoramic range) has brought capacity at height to the top of its class and much improved lift and extension speeds.

‘Load-sensing’ hydraulic systems are used throughout the Roto range, controlled by a single lever joystick.

‘S’ models feature a 40 km/h travel speed. This is achieved by adding a variable delivery motor and Merlo's hydropneumatic suspension system.
