Latest Panoramic high lift machines launched at ScotPlant 2006!

Merlo UK announces the replacement of its 12 and 13m lift height telehandlers with four new models in the Panoramic family, ranging from 12-14m. The furst public UK showing will be at ScotPlant 7-8th April 2006.
These new machines build upon the success of the previous machines by adding the 2006 design cab and a brand new boom assembly. By employing a novel extension mechanism the new three-piece booms are longer than their predecessors and have less parasitic weight, giving useful increases to lift height and capacity. They also now hide all hoses and pipes within the boom fabrications, leaving nothing external to be damaged in site operations.
The new cab design has even more glazed area and reduced thickness framing to further improve vision. All-round visibility is, of course, still the legendary standard of all Merlo machines! The interior is lighter, with a new seat and ventilation (including an uprated air con option), ensuring the best in driver comfort. There are even two types of suspension available – boom or axle – to keep both driver and load in place over rough surfaces.
The 86HP four-cylinder Perkins engines are covered by a redesigned engine canopy, spreading the family likeness from both larger and smaller Merlo telehandlers. All four models are available in PLUS build, substituting a turbo 101HP Perkins and 40 k/hr transmission. Transmissions throughout are hydrostatic, providing smooth and effortless control with great placing precision. An ‘inching’ pedal is standard.
All machines feature Merlo’s chassis sideshift (as much as ±345 mm in the 14m machines) for safe and accurate placing at height and three of the four utilise the compact stabiliser design pioneered by Merlo. Load-sensing hydraulics with dual joystick control is standard, with an optional single proportional joystick controller available.
As you would expect from the leader in handler design – compactness, style, efficiency and performance!
Above: Merlo’s compact stabilisers are on all but the smallest machine.
Far left: visbility is even better than before with a new cab and more glazed area. A new boom mechanism gives increased lift height and capacity, whilst new hydraulics reduce cycle time.
Left: Fantastic engine service access on all.
