New Ultra-highlift Panoramic machines gain new cab

Mark Shouler can trace Nottingham builder Hofton & Son’s history back to 1846. With Directors Brian Shouler and John Robinson now running the company, they maintain a reputation for high quality housing of all types.
“We bought our first Merlo in 1998 - a 12m machine - and when it had turned in a virtually trouble-free 10,000 hours decided it was time to upgrade” says Mark, “The cost of land has driven sites upwards so more lift height is needed. But, when we tried a couple of other makes they were HUGE compared to the Merlo from Cooks Midlands. This machine lifts to 17m, places trusses, has an impressive range of equipment - yet is compact and manoeuvrable around the site.”
Safety is vital to Hofton and their drivers have already received IPAF training in readiness for the integral platform of the new machine.
“Fantastic value” says Mark “Compared to a cherry-picker and it feels really safe to use. For safety and productivity this is the way to go!”
