All the features of innovation and reliability are naturally of great interest to military users and Merlo products can be adapted to military use.
In 2004, the French Army took 80 9m units, some of them with armour protection against small-arms fire. They are in service in such spots as Guadeloupe and Fiji, as well as in mainland France! And in 2005, they took DBM concrete mixers for the Corps of Engineers.
The Australian Army have been operating 128 machines (also 9m) for some years, with great success, and several other armed forces operate small numbers of Merlo Panoramic machines
