If the overload lockout is activated on Merlo fam and site handlers, only boom retraction is possible when overload is approached

Using a simple mechanical system in the rear axle, the Merlo overload warning is both highly reliable and easy to calibrate.

Overload lockout operational
Hydraulics isolated for servicing, roading or security
Overload measurement deactivated for bucket use

When lockout is selected, the Merlo handler is protected against longitudinal overload, and only boom retraction is permitted following a lockout.

Horizontal reach carries the risk of a longitudinal overload. Merlo handlers pioneered a standard overload lockout device for maximum safety. For Merlo, it is not enough to merely warn!
