A telehandler is not a crane, but it can be ‘temporarily adapted’ for lifting duties by the use of appropriate interchangeable equipment. There is a wide range of lifting attachments also available for Merlo handlers, ranging from simple lifting hooks to jibs and full winch attachments, rated up to a maximum 4 tonne lift.

Lifting equipment gives Merlo PANORAMIC and ROTO telescopic handlers another dimension and opening numerous new applications.

Some may require additional equipment to satisfy national regulations, so it’s important to discuss potential applications with Merlo UK or your dealer. It’s also important to review driver certification, training and experience requirements. ALL lifting operations must comply with LOLER requirements, even when the machine used is not designed as a full-time crane.
