The PANORAMIC Compact series machines were originally introduced to satisfy demands for a narrow, low machine for both the construction and farming sectors.
This new series, introduced in June 2006, uses the same cab as the new Turbofarmer/Panoramic units, as well as their 102HP Deutz turbocharged engines. A series of build options suit the base machine for use in either building or farming.
Completely new chassis design means the new machines are still only 2000mm wide and have overall heights of 2150mm or 2000mm in the ‘L’ low profile models.
Four 6m lift P32.6 models form the basis of the Compact series with a two section boom. Unique to Merlo, by offering a three section boom Merlo have created four 8m class P28.8 models thus giving a choice of 6.40m or 8.2m lift heights. The P28.8 series is currently the only compact telehandler in the world to offer this lift height.
‘Plus’ variants add a 40 km/h travel speed and, for the first time on compact telehandlers, ‘Load-sensing’ hydraulics are offered on ‘TOP’ builds. Boom suspension is also available on all models.
